“Four Christmases” Review

The movie is what it is.  There is nothing spectacular about this movie, it’s something that can be watched on cable… if you have the time to spare.  In fact, I’m not really sure what I was expecting because it’s the same old, same old.  “Four Christmases” is a holiday romantic comedy with Vince Vaughn who plays what he always plays – a fast-talking sarcastic egoist who learns something about himself towards the end of the movie and ends up with the cute, cuddly, adorable chick, who is played by Reese Witherspoon in this case.

There are some moments as there always are in these types of movies that make you audibly laugh, but nothing “classic” like the jizz gel scene from “Something About Mary.”  Or the motorboat from “Wedding Crashers.”

Ah, FUCK IT!  I’m not going to try to justify my review here… save your money. Keeping this short like Witherspoon standing next to Vaughn.

Unfortunately, Erik and I won’t be able to give you a show this week because Erik is lazy, but that’s okay… he’s Mexican. If he lived near me, I’d entice him with some burritos (and that’s not code for cocks or anything), which would surely get him to do a show.

So, instead, I’ll be making up a vlog tonight to be posted tomorrow since at least one of us has to give you guys consistent content, right?

“Twilight” Review

Seriously, why did I agree to see this movie? Oh yeah, my wife MADE ME!!! But, not because she thought this was going to be a good movie. She actually wanted to see Twilight to see just how bad it was. And, believe me, it was BAD!

I’ve never read the books, but my wife has. And, funny enough, after seeing this horrible movie, I’m going to read the just to see if it’s as bad, which my wife has assured me that they are not. However, I was warned that the books are kind of tame compared to other vampire books like the ones HBO’s True Blood series are based on. So, why waste my time? Because I’m actually interested in reading about the Cullen family and the American Indian tribe.

Notice I didn’t say Edward and Bella, the two main characters of the book.

Dating Woes…

After six years of being with the same girl I’m back in the dating scene, honestly by choice. Things feel so different. Back then I used to work in a high school so it was easy for me to pick up women. Okay I’m exaggerating, let me clarify, it’s not as pederast as it sounds. I was a 20 year old computer tech when I met this 17 year old student who used to hang out all the time with many of my friends of 4+ years. It just turns out I met her at work first. When she turned 18 (and I had just turned 21), we were hanging out almost every other day and one thing led to another… fast forward to today and I am rejoining the dating pool and feel clueless.

Talk Stupid Podcast: Episode 1.1

As The Rock would say, “FINALLY! The Rock has COME BACK TO…” And just like Dwayne Johnson, myself and Erik are back at this internet radio thang… FIIIIINNNNAAAALLLLLYYY!!! If you smell-la-la-la-la-la-ow! What Talk Stupid. Is. Cooking! It would probably be chimichangas… Erik is Mexican you know.

Anyway, as you’ll hear, this isn’t really our first podcast show back (that would be the Gummi Bear Edition), but it’s the first one that we think is entertaining and not full of gay innuendo and accusations so over the top even Lance Bass would say it’s gay. That, plus the fact we needed to shake the rust off in a big Michael J. Fox kind of way. Luckily, we think we hit the mark (something MJF will never do) with this second recording, which we are calling the first official Talk Stupid podcast!
